There’s a lot to be said for the levels of reassurance that come with knowing when, where and how something is made.
Especially when it is something you rely on to keep people, plants or special objects safe.
At Armco Direct, we have been at the forefront of the corrugated steel and ancillary product industry for more than ten years and because of this, our levels of knowledge in Armco barrier protection and duty of care to our customers is second to none.
We supply Armco barriers that are made and checked in the UK, using materials that come from the UK and every check is made to ensure maximum performance.
Quality of barriers guaranteed
Unlike many cheaper imports, everything that we purchase has to pass stringent quality control checks, so we know that, before any of our products leave the production line, they’re fit for purpose and safe to use.
As with many things that are manufactured in the UK – especially ones as important as this, quality control is an issue which is taken extremely seriously (and so it should be).
Armco Direct support UK steel trade
It’s not only because of the great quality of UK steel that Armco Direct support the UK steel trade, we’re contributing to the UK economy and helping support the planet too.
According to EEF, the UK steel industry’s trade association, steel is the most recycled material in the world and the UK is by no means a small contributor, as more waste steel is recovered in the UK and recycled than all other material combined.
Each tonne that is recycled by the steel industry saves 1.9 tonnes of iron ore and 0.6 tonnes of coal and in 2014 the industry contributed almost £2.8bn to the UK balance of trade. The UK steel industry makes a huge contribution to the UK economy, so, as well as being reassured by the levels of quality, it’s only right that we support our fellow UK workers in this way.
